There are memories and there are memories. Some that few can remember. The other day I was searching for pics of Bliss for our web site, that I’m doing graphics on for. And I came across a pic of the Bliss Hot Rod Grill,
So then I showed the same pic to Ron and he could not remember when what is now Ziggy’s Express was the Bliss Hot Rod Grill, so I took a quick pic of Ziggy’s today and placed them side by side,
Yep it’s the same place, Ron’s daughter even confirmed it. Don’t ya’ll wish it’d stayed the Bliss Hot Rod Grill?
Okay then too old TV. Some have criticized me for trying to do up a pilot remake of the old TV show, B.J. & the Bear. Redoing it with Billie Joe(B.J.) coming back from Iraq instead of Vietnam, and picking it up from where the series left off. Then I get pigeon holed for casting women as B.J.’s associates, excuse me, but the Piston Packing Mama’s as they were called is part of what put the spice to the show.
It wasn’t just the sweet looking K.W. K-100 COE that made that show sizzle. Although the truck had no name, like some of the others.
Look next month the studios release the A-Team, last year was a stupid remake of ST TOS , a few years before some dillweeds opened the door and did a terrible redoux of the Dukes into a major movie. While seeing Airwolf redone into a movie, more over I’d really love to see B.J. & the Bear redone into a movie. And if you think us in the Knytes have little clout, remember fellow Knytes it was our efforts, that albeit the poor casting, but we pushed WB into doing the Dukes movie, so maybe and I say a big maybe we as a club can urge Universal into doing up a B.J. & the Bear major motion picture. Only thing is, who would they get to play Stacks(Audrey Landers), in the remake? Maybe if the Dukes could have a blonde Daisy Duke, maybe we could have a dark haired Stacks, maybe cast Gretchen Wilson as Stacks? Stranger things have happened. When you look at the remakes, then see the old original shows on Retro Television, you gotta wonder, are we too old, or hazz the sizzle gone out of Hollywood?
Yep remember when, but an original is coming back to Bliss and the area. Watch here for details.
