A Ray of real Sunshine every once in awhile

KNYTES SCROLL HEADER KNYTECIDE HEADER

Every once in awhile , watching local newscasts you see a newscaster became an anchor on a newscast that truly has the IT factor enough to go network or even better. Now before many of you go off thinking I am undergoing some sort of strange fantasy here don’t as this is not applicable here. It’s just that as a broadcaster and being in media since age 12 even though part time and now as in service to the Knytes, I see a talent that needs a positive nod. But there is more to it than that here. I’ll expand on that in a few mile markers here later.

I saw the same kind of talent in a newscaster at KMVT –11 out of Twin Falls a few years ago. Her name is Michelle Darcey. She came on board as a reporter but rapidly advanced to first  a weekend and then week night anchor. She dug for stories that few others did. She delivered better than most even John Martin whom is much older and antiquated , but the fact that Michelle did the job better than most in this very small market. I moved away, for a few years, yet Michelle’s professionalism over shadowed even many in Salt Lake City.  By the time I reluctantly moved back to this area , Michelle was gone. I have tried to find out where too but have not been able too. I’ll let you know if I find out more.

Okay then; Another newscaster has emerged upon the newscast front who has the ability to go full network, at any time. In fact although I have no real fact behind this I’ll bet the seasoned anchors at KTVB are watching, but that said, Kim Fields who came on board not too long ago, has risen to the point, that I think she could easily, escalate to Network or better points in television broadcasting. Her delivery and demeanor on air rivals any of her fellow newscasters, not only at KTVB , but any station in all markets in the region. Okay then; Kim has began a series on St. Jude’s Cancer Hospital based in lately flood ravished Nashville Tennessee. A hospital and research facility created by comedian Danny Thomas. The facility is there to treat children no matter their ability to pay, as well as research to cure many cancers that affect and take the life of many children each day and year.

The Knytes-of-Anarchy have two charities we work on behalf of each year, one is the Make a Wish Foundation created in part by Bo Duke of Dukes of Hazzard fame. The other charity is St. Jude’s. Both are for and about kids. Children are the main audience that the Dukes was aimed at in its creation. As such treating and finding cures for illness’s including Cancer that affect Children. Each year the Knytes-of-Anarchy (Hazzard County Knytes) does a Road trip/Convoy to raise money for one of or each of these charities. 4 years ago the Road Trip was across Wyoming, total raised $22,000.00  The year before, the Road-Trip/Convoy ran across Utah, total raised $150,000.00. The $22000.00 went to the Make a Wish Foundation, same the year after. This year our focus is on St. Jude’s, which rolls into the arena of Kim Fields of KTVB. While I’m not expecting although it’d be nice, but I don’t expect a visit from Ms. Fields to Knytes HQ, and it has nothing to do with me or the Knytes trying to gain 1 minute of fame through a newsbyte. That’s what advertising is for and something we are working on with KMVT, KTFT, and Hulu. Likewise on my syndicated radio program Dixie Diesel Trucker Radio. It is said in the Bible that who that would refuse these(children) Can in no ways enter the Kingdom of God. As Christian OTR truckers , we accept our responsibility to help kids who through no fault of their own contracted Cancer or a life threatening illness. This year beginning in August , in co-operation with the UAITA, The Knytes-of-Anarchy, will do a Idaho state wide Road Trip/Convoy starting in Soda Springs, Idaho to Sandpoint Idaho, over I-15 to I-90 in Montana and over to Sandpoint Idaho, from Sandpoint running south running over Idaho Hwy-55 to Boise, and over I-84 to Snowville Utah. Each running mile will get a pledge and money raised for St. Jude’s. Oh yes we’ll have a camera crew along with us. However we are just two medium sized organization with a limited membership, so we are reaching out to all long haul OTR truckers, and toewers to make the Road-Trip/Convoy with us. Help us, to help Danny’s kids at St. Jude’s. Give me a call at: 208-737-WOLF for more 411.

See ya’ll on the Radio.

Time is that quality of nature which keeps events from happening all at once. Lately it doesn't seem to be working.
